Oriented Strand Boards are industrial boards obtained by pressing wood chips of certain sizes in 3 layers by oriented 90 degrees to each other. This orientation technique is the reason why these plates have maximum tensile and bending values. One of the reasons for the increasing demand for OSB boards is that they are an alternative to plywood as they give higher strength values than other normal particle boards.
